 ABOUT THE POSITION 

We are seeking a Tax Manager to join our team of accountants and tax professionals on a permanent basis.  The role is expected to be office based in the main. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

• Managing a portfolio of clients to meet the compliance requirements of the firm’s corporate and income tax clients 

• Ensuring payment and return filing deadlines are met  

• Acting as lead on a wide range of tax advisory projects, including company reconstructions, succession planning, cash extraction strategies, and revenue audit assignments 

• Managing a team of tax professionals at all levels of their careers 

• Reporting directly to the tax partners 

• Building a rapport with clients to understand their business and advise them appropriately both reactively and proactively 

• Preparation and filing of tax returns in relation to corporation tax and income tax 

• Advising our business support teams on tax matters relating to other tax heads including VAT, PAYE/PRSI, Capital Gains Tax, CAT, Stamp Duty etc.  

• Engage with partners to design and implement forward thinking work processes and practices during the rapid expansion phase of the firm 

 

ABOUT YOU 

To succeed, the ideal candidate should: 

• Be a Chartered Tax Advisor  

• Have experience working in tax in a practice environment 

• Thrive when working as part of a team 

• Be able to independently manage a portfolio of clients towards achieving deadlines 

• Be able to manage their own workload and oversee the workload of team members 

• Have strong interpersonal skills for communications both in-house and with clients  

• Be an effective communicator verbally and in writing 

• Strive for excellence in your work 

• Be able to multi-task 

• Have good time management and an ability to work to deadlines 

• Have relevant IT skills, including strong excel skills and use of ROS 

• An ACA or ACCA qualification is an advantage but not a necessity
