Earth Day: We’re Taking Action for a Greener Future

earth-dayOn Earth Day, we celebrate our planet and pledge our continued commitment to helping protect our environment for future generations. Our vision is to help create an environment in which everyone can thrive through social, environmental, and economic progress.

Being passionate about our environment is not enough. In 2023, the firm invested in an energy management plan and investment strategy to become at least 80% “off grid”. This includes:

·       converting our electrical grid use to solar PV generation,

·       installing a roof mounted wind turbine,

·       installing a battery bank to power the firm’s offices,

·       installing infra-red heating systems that utilise the generated power for heating.

The partners in Strata Financial made further strides to reduce the firm’s carbon footprint. These included:

·       20% net reduction in electrical consumption used in our office environment

·       promotion of and encouragement of cycling for commuting

·       incentives to reduce unnecessary vehicle commuting

·       increased use of digital records over paper
